FAQ

Why do products from Superior Imaging Products differ in quality from most aftermarket suppliers?

Superior Imaging Products fully understands that Quality and reliability are crucial for the smooth operation of the various departments within your organization.

I would like to share just a little history to address this important quality issue. Superior Imaging Products (SIP) has been producing quality printer products since 1984. Laser toner cartridges are manufactured and tested using ASTM 1856 guidelines conforming to Standardized Test Methods (STM). All cartridges are 100% tested and are guaranteed for the life of the cartridge.

Network Recycling Systems, Inc. is the parent company of SIP and is only 1 of 125 companies in the world certified by the International Imaging Technology Council. In addition, Jim Martin, the CEO and founder of Network Recycling Systems, Inc., is 1 of 13 STMC trainers in the world that is certified to train companies to the ASTM standards. These statistics are a matter of public record on the International Imaging Technology Council website at www.i-itc.org . (Information current as of October, 2005)

You can rest assured that SIP products are superior in quality to other remanufactured products on the market; and you can buy direct from the manufacturer to save a tremendous amount on your printer and copier toner needs.

Do I get credit for my empty toner cartridge or ink cartridge?

No, not directly. We already incorporate this cost savings to you when you order a compatible cartridge. However if you have a substantial amount of OEM empties we may offer you credit.  Contact us via email at info@siptoner.com for more information.

Is a sales tax applied to my purchase?

Sales tax is only applied to items sold at our physical store or items that ship to a North Carolina address (7.75%)

What is the difference between OEM and Compatible printer cartridges?

Original Equipment Manufacturer ("OEM") cartridges are brand new toner cartridges bearing the original brand names, such as HP, Lexmark, Brother, Canon, etc. Compatible cartridge are an economical alternative to expensive name brand OEM cartridges. These cartridges are remanufactured to meet OEM specifications of quality and reliability. Typically, remanufacturing involves disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, replacing parts, reassembling, and filling with toner. Once the remanufacturing process is complete, the cartridge is then print tested, sealed, and packaged for resale. Our compatible cartridges are guaranteed 100%

How do I find the product I'm looking for?

Because of the large inventory we carry, occasionally it is not easy to find the product at first. We have implemented many ways to find the right product. Usually you will find the product by entering the product code (OEM Number) into the Product Search Box on the upper right. You can also enter the manufacturer and/or the model number of the machine you are trying to find a product for. For example: HP (manufacturer) and 1200 (model number) for the Hewlett Packard Laserjet 1200. Or you can find your product by clicking within the appropriate product categories. If you can't find what you are looking for, please contact us by clicking on the Contact Us link at the top of the page.

Where do you ship to?

Does using your cartridge void my warranty?

No it does not due to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act.

United States Code Annotated - Title 15 Commerce and Trade - Chapter 50 Consumer Products Warranties - 15 Section 2302

"(3) No warrantor of a consumer product may condition his written or implied warranty of such product on the consumer's using, in connection with such product, any article or service (other than article or service provided without charge under the terms of the warranty) which is identified by brand, trade or corporate name; except that the prohibition of this subsection be waived by the commission if:

1) The warrantor satisfies the Commission that the warranted product will function properly only if the article or service so identified is used in connection with the warranted product, and

2) The commission finds that such a waiver is in the public interest."

Under no circumstances may any company or associate, salesperson or service technician deny you service or warranty work that would otherwise be covered under the warranty program.
